Launching $3 Cinnamon Lemonade soon. An employee came up with this one. We didn’t think it would work, but it’s one of our most popular drinks.
Brussels rising
The Brussel Sprout Sandwich is rising again. Sour cream dijon spread, smoked Grafton cheddar, deep fried Hadley Brussel Sprouts, pickled Next Barn Over red cabbage, and toasted hazelnuts.
Paw Paws have landed
Last Friday, a strange fruit appeared at Clover: the Paw Paw. This alien-like fruit is native to Appalachia, grows in Massachusetts, and reminds us of a banana mixed with a mango. Try a $2 Paw Paw Soda today.
Borboya 2
We only serve coffees from roasters we’ve personally visited. Right now we’re serving Derek Anderson’s La Trinidad (from Costa Rica) and George Howell’s Borboya II (from Ethiopia).
The fall salads are here
Fall salads are coming online. This week, you might find a: Brussel Sprout Salad, Curried Carrot Pecan Salad, Barbecue Bean Potato Salad, or a Sweet Potato Maple Pecan Salad…
Peaches to Pears
Chris Anderson in the kitchen just sourced us a supply of the first fall fruit: Asian Pears from Lookout Farm in Natick, MA. We think they taste winy, almost grape-like. Soon, we’ll be cutting them fresh for Oatmeal w/Fruit and Yogurt w/Granola and Fruit.
Donuts
Thanks all who joined for Coffee and Donuts with Derek of Speedwell Roasters on Friday. What did you think of Enzo’s peach donuts?
Knife Skills
Our next Knife Skills 101 class has a few tickets left. It’s being taught by Chris Anderson, our Director of Food, on 10/8 at 9am at the HUB in East Cambridge.
Jalapeño Soda
Craig, our Assistant Manager, came up with a Jalapeño Soda. It uses all of the fresh peppers that are just coming out of the ground. Ask for a sample today.
24 hour Clover
We just got approved for 24 hours in our soon-to-open spot in Central Square. We’re hoping for a Fall opening.
